Besame Cosmetics: Birthday Haul, Part 1

My birthday isn't until 4/23, but it is never too early to haul! Part 1 of my haul is from Besame Cosmetics, an amazing company founded by an equally amazing woman named Gabriela Hernandez, who clearly loves the company that she runs very much.

I first fell in love with Besame back in 2004 when I saw its products featured in an issue of Lucky magazine. I was still quite young but, to me back then and even now, it was (and is!) such a badass company, seriously. Just look at their packaging: vintage-inspired yet not "wimpy" like some other brands that also make retro makeup, but are afraid to go all the way.

The packaging for each Besame beauty product is so thoughtfully designed, drawing inspirations from vintage aesthetics. However, it is not just the high-quality packaging that is memorable; it's the high-quality, well-formulated products, too.

Without further ado, here's what I got! Reviews for individual products will be posted later.

From left to right: Besame Brightening Violet Powder; Cake Mascara that also works as an eyeliner and eyebrow tint; lipstick in "American Beauty."

My modest Besame family, for now. Most of my Besame cosmetics were stolen from me when my car was broken into. But, I am looking forward to getting more Besame cosmetics in the future!

As you can see, there is a smaller tube of lipstick, which was the original size. The Besame lipsticks have grown since!

  1. I've never heard of Besame cosmetics before. The packaging looks so pretty though I'm surprised more bloggers arn't showcasing the products. I would love to read a more in-depth review, especially of the lipsticks :)

    1. Yay, our birthdays are pretty close together!
I want to go out to sushi for my birthday, but I think I'll have to get a babysitter for the boys since they might scream in the restaurant. Lol.
