What's in My Bag -- March 2014

I am a behind on my Thrifty Thursday and Lips of the Decades series this week, mainly because I have been so exhausted (I do have major responsibilities outside of blogging, unfortunately!), and wanted to spend the precious time that I have this week catching up on my favorite blogs to see what my favorite bloggers have been up to. Thus, the two series will have to be delayed until a later date. In the mean time, why don't you read up the past entries and try one of my lip looks? I would love to see your result!

Anyhow, moving on: For awhile, the contents of my bag would remain the same until I get tired of what's inside and switch up. I go through spurts where I'd be crazy about a lipstick, for example, and wear it daily until I'm sick of it, which could take days, weeks, or even an entire month.

So, here's what's in my bag as of March, 2014, other than the usual (cell phone, driver's license, money):

1) Bag: Rebecca Minkoff "Affair" -- black leather with rose gold hardware. The quilted round design was a limited edition, and the bag now comes with diamond-shaped quilts, in many other leather colors and hardware choices.

2) A decant of Jo Malone "Nectarine Blossom & Honey" body cream. Instead of lugging a large container around, I find that transferring some into a smaller jar is a much better idea.

3) Bath & Body Works Fresh Picked "Strawberry" sanitizing gel.

4) Lancome "Roses in Love" lipstick.

5) Jean Patou "Joy" eau de toilette: a glorious perfume blend of Grasse jasmine, Bulgarian rose, with a light peach opening. The eau de toilette is just right for cool, early Spring days.

6) Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte: this is the best, best finishing and touch-up powder that I have used in my entire life. Click here for my review.

7) Trader Joe's Gingermints: refreshing and delicious! It's important to have good breath. Last night, I had a nightmare about somebody telling me that I have bad breath, but my toothbrush is nowhere in sight when I go to the bathroom to look for it. Lol. :-P

Where to buy:

The Rebecca Minkoff bag, Jo Malone body cream, Lancome Lipstick, Jean Patou "Joy," and Chanel pressed powder can all be purchased at Nordstrom.

Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer can be purchased at any Bath & Body Works store, while Trader Joe's Gingermints is available at Trader Joe's grocery stores.

    1. LOL! :-) More people should be carrying a bottle of that thing around, I'd say.
