Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Review

Please remember that I am running a huge international beauty giveaway soon! Click here for more information.

I remember that the first time I smelled Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom & Honey, I was unimpressed. In fact, my reaction was, "Eh. Citrus. Some floral. Next!" and promptly washed it off.

But, this is more than just citrus and floral! It has a wonderful sweet, yet never cloying, honey scent a that adds "body," density, and complexity to this otherwise effervescent blend.

Once I finally understood this perfume, I fell in love with it. In fact, I loved (and still love!) it so much that it was my wedding day perfume. Not only do I enjoy it, but so does my husband; he buys me a new bottle whenever one is empty!

So, for this Spring, why not try a new scent? My review of beautiful blend is below the picture.

Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom & Honey opens with a bright, realistic nectarine blossom scent, not too different from the scents of other blossoms, such as peach blossom, orange blossom, etc. There is a citrus-like quality to the opening note, but I can tell that it's not actually citrus. Soon, something sweeter appears as my skin warms it up, like flowers that have gotten the chance to really bloom. There is also a bright, non-powdery musk note in here that causes the entire blend to smell better as it sits on your skin longer, having the chance to warm up.

Not too long after, the drydown begins to happen and I can now really notice the honey note as it makes its entrance. The honey note in Nectarine Blossom & Honey is absolutely scrumptious, without any of the urine-like quality that people tend to complain about in honey perfumes. Instead, there is something sweet yet air-y, dreamy quality about this honey note; it's almost as though in addition to honey, Jo Malone also added honey powder to it (imagine honey that's been turned into solid).

Lasting power is average; I can smell it for about two to three hours, but others have commented on the scent many hours after, so maybe my nose is just used to it.

What I appreciate about Jo Malone is that the perfumes are created from natural scents. Also, there is just something so classic, timeless, and ever-so-stylish about the entire line, from the bottle presentation to the actual product quality.

I've really enjoyed Nectarine Blossom & Honey, and I look forward to trying more Jo Malone blends in the future. Perhaps English Pear & Freesia! That sounds like it'd be right up my alley. :-)
