Summer 2014 US-UK Beauty Swap!

Don't forget that I am having a makeup and beauty giveaway contest right now! There will be three winners. CLICK HERE to enter the raffle.

Kerry M. over at Blogger in Wonderland and I had so much fun with our previous international swap back in the Spring, that we decided to do it again for the Summer!

I hope that she'll receive my box soon! I sent mine a few days later because I was so busy in my personal life.

My husband was quite excited; I think that it was because he wanted to eat all of the treats! Haha.

So, here are the treats that Kerry sent me:

All of the chocolates are so delicious, and they really do taste better than American chocolates, which I am sure the rest of the world is already aware of. :-P

Anyhow, this is a silly confession, but whenever I eat English treats, I always feel as though I'm in Harry Potter. Hahaha. I think that it's because packaging is very different from what's over here, along with the advertisements, graphic designs, etc.

There were actually several packets of the Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea, but it tasted so good that I drank almost all of them in less than 24 hours! I haven't tried the peanut butter drink mix yet, but I will soon!

Oh, I love candies that fizz up! But, I like all candies, really. I've really enjoyed the Parma Violets, too; I've always had a fondness for floral candies and treats, probably because I like old-fashioned things. Kerry also included a cute little book called "Friends are Forever." There was also a candy called Drumstick, but it was the first thing I ate. Haha.

Don't the wrappers for these look so fun?

I really like these types of face masks, and this time, I'm excited to try the Apricot Scrub below. The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is good! I'd put it in my hair, cover it with a disposable shower cap, and just relax for 15 minutes or so. Yes, the packaging says three minutes, but my hair gets even softer and more bouncy if I leave it in for a bit longer than that. :-)

I also adore these nail files with pin-up girls! Kerry said that they reminded her of my Lips of the Decades series.

Next is all of the makeup from a new brand called Makeup Revolution. We don't have this brand here in California, so I'm super excited!

The eyeshadows are so finely milled and pigmented; what you see in the palettes is what you get! These are exactly the types of shades that I would wear, and I don't think I'll need to buy new eyeshadows for a long time.

"Romantic Smoked":

"Iconic 1":

Pure pigment in "Frolic": I really like this pigment. It's very pigmented, and feels like a cream, even though it's a powder. This would be so beautiful when paired with a bronze shade, or sage-green, I think.

"Chic" lipstick: This lipstick is so soft and moisturizing. It's sheer but buildable, and the color is extremely beautiful, yet not overly frosty in person.

"Hot" lipgloss: I like this a lot! The color payoff is gorgeous, and comes out to a sheer, slightly reddish rose on my skin.

And here are the swatches of the two lip products above. They both have a very pleasant, soft vanilla scent that is like MAC lip products.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation! I have been dying to try this for a long time now. Kerry sent me the shade "52 Vanilla," per my request, and I really like how the foundation performs; it really does look fresh for most of the day. The shade turned out to be just a little bit darker than my skin tone, but it's fine in the Summer, and I'll just mix it with a lighter foundation that I already have later.

She was also very sweet to think of my boys, and sent them matching T-shirts!

So, that's it! This concludes my post. :-)

How has your week been?

    1. I have the Iconic 3 palette and it's so similar to the Naked Palette. MakeUpRevolution has only just recently launched here in the UK, but all products are so pigmented :) xo
