What's in My Bag? Summer 2014 Edition

Don't forget that I am having a makeup and beauty giveaway contest right now! There will be three winners. CLICK HERE to enter the raffle.

I'm still very much in love with my Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag, which was also featured in another entry like this one, back in March 2014, so it is making its appearance here, once again! :-)

These are the things that are definitely the essentials in my bag for this season, although a few will always be important, such as:

  • My car and house keys.
  • My cell phone, the Blackberry Q10, best phone ever! I have had the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, but in the end, I returned to Blackberry. I previously owned another Blackberry, and realized that I constantly missed it while using my iPhone and Galaxy. So, I am now a happy owner of the Blackberry Q10!
  • Sunglasses. I have had these ones from Gucci for two years now, and wear them every time I leave the house because it is almost always very sunny where I live (San Diego, California). These are classics and will never be outdated; at least I hope not. Hehe. They just suit my face shape so well.
  • Breath mints, of course!
  • Makeup bag, to hold my beauty essentials.

Look at all these beauty products, fitting so snugly in the makeup bag. How cute! :-D

Here's what the seemingly small makeup bag can actually hold:
  • Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer -- lavender scented.
  • Caswell-Massey hand cream -- lavender scented.
  • Philosophy Falling in Love perfume -- This is a mini 0.5 oz / 15 mL bottle. I don't wear Falling in Love every day, but on the days that I forget to spray some perfume on before I leave the house, this perfume is perfect for all occasions!
  • Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte pressed powder -- the ultimate pressed powder that leaves your skin looking smooth and natural. Some more information on this powder is in a previous blog entry, located here
  • Lypsyl Honey Berry lip balm with SPF 15 -- your lip skin is so thin, be sure to use a SPF lip protector!
  • MAC "Rihanna" Lipglass -- my most favorite lipgloss in the world, and I have many favorites! :-P
  • YSL "Pourpre Intouchable" -- just a nice, glossy purple shade for days when red, nude, or pink just won't do. :-) The review for this lipgloss is here.
  • Chanel "Mademoiselle" lipstick -- the perfect lipstick for when you want to look fresh and pretty!
  • L'Oreal "Nude Ballet" -- the perfect nude for when you want to have lips like Angelina Jolie or J.Lo.
  • Besame "American Beauty" lipstick -- a perfect blend of red and pink!
  • Makeup Revolution "Chic" lipstick -- I like this lipstick because it has part of my blog name in its name, hehe, but also because it is such a nice sheer rosy shade with some sparkles and shimmers. For a quick review and swatch, you may see that here

A few of the lipsticks featured:

Does this mean that these are the only products I wear daily? Of course not. However, they are the ones that seem to have taken up permanent residency inside my bag. :-)

What do you always carry in your bag?
What do you think I should have in mine?
If you have a blog, feel free to leave a link with your answers! :-)

  1. Ooo...such a nice bunch of make up bits! Lots of lip products I see! I haven't tried that from l'oreal yet but would love to and I'd love a purplish YSL volupte too! I've got a nude, a hot pink and a raspberry pink one! Thanks for sharing!

Make sure you have some SPF in your foundation especially in this summer weather.
