A Followup on Britney Spears Fantasy Perfume: Original Formula VS Reformulated Version

Don't forget that I have a makeup giveaway going on! There will be three winners. Click HERE to enter.

Yes, I promised in yesterday's post that I will share with you the many different things that you can do with an empty candle jar, but I promise that what I'm about to say next is more important! :-)

Last week, I made a post on how Britney Spears' Fantasy perfume was reformulated back in 2010, how different it smells now, and how to identify the different bottles in order to make sure that you get the original version, released back in 2005.

Today, I would like to follow up with more information, because I understand that no retailer is going to open a brand new box just for you to check the bottle. For more details on how the two different versions smell, please read my original post HERE.

So, I have created a graphic guide below to help you along:

Additionally, Britney Spears' 10th anniversary release -- Fantasy: Anniversary Edition perfume is also the original 2005 formula, which is why it is not as sweet and cloying as the current version.

This edition was released late last year, but I was in too much pregnancy-related pain to stay up-to-date with beauty-related news during that time. Thus, this one is difficult to find now, but I do have some information for those who wish to order online! Act quickly, because this one is getting more and more difficult to find each day.

The following links are non-affiliated. I do not get paid for posting them here. :o)

In the United States: $37.50 for 1 oz at Kohl's; $35 for 3.3 oz at Sweet Baby Perfume Plus. I bought mine from Sweet Baby Perfume Plus, just because it was a better deal.

In the UK (I haven't forgotten about you guys!):  £10.00 for 50mL at Superdrug, Which makes it only $17.15US. You are so lucky! :o)

And, of course, the one that's coming soon -- Britney Spears Fantasy: Stage Edition, is also a re-release of the 2005 formula. This one is still in production and hasn't hit the market yet. However, I prefer the black and fuchsia bottles above, just because I have an aversion towards snake-printed things. :-/

So, I think that about wraps it up! I knew that I couldn't just leave readers hanging, and opening up the box just to check the bottle isn't something that retailers are going to allow, lol, so I researched some more. All for you. Okay, some of it was done for me, since I wanted to get my own bottle, but some of it was also for you! Win-win. :-P

A quick note: A customers service representative at Elizabeth Arden (the company that creates Britney's fragrances) insisted that the formula has not been changed. Trust me, the formula has been changed, and I am not the first person to have noticed. :o)

  1. Would you recommend this perfume? does this smell nice?
    Red Alice

    1. I would, if you want something that smells sweet and edible! However, from what I recall, you live in a warmer climate, so it may smell a bit too intense. I would only wear this at night, or when the temperature is cooler/colder. :o)

  2. Thank you for the thorough information darling!

  4. Amazing review!

  5. Honestly I never noticed they did that, I'm not a wearer of those perfumes but I never notice! I still cant believe she still is making that perfume! I guess it's here to stay.

    1. I know what you mean, lol. Of all of her perfume releases, this one has always been a bestseller.

  6. Do you trust Sweet Baby Perfume Plus as selling you an authentic product?
