MeMeBox Special #31 Review and WIN YOUR OWN MEMEBOX!

  • Enter to win a MeMeBox of your own at the the end of this post! International readers welcomed.
  • Also, I have another giveaway for US-based readers, which you may enter HERE.

Have I got another amazing MeMeBox (pronounced Mimi-Box) review for you!

As you may already know, MeMeBox is a beauty box service, but it is different from all of the other ones, for the following reasons:
  • This is not a subscription service, so you don't have to make a commitment! Order the boxes you want, or wait until you see ones that you like.
  • The boxes are available in different price ranges, so that you can purchase the box that you feel comfortable paying for.
  • The boxes are from South Korea (they are shipped to many countries), and feature only the top quality South Korean beauty brands.
  • Each box has a theme, so while it is a surprise, you will still have an idea of what you are getting, and make your choices.
  • The majority of the products are full-sized.
  • Since MeMeBox understands that it may be difficult for consumers outside of South Korea to purchase the products in the box, they also have an online store where you can repurchase your favorites.
  • Act quick! MeMeBox beauty boxes sell out very quickly, so if you see something that you like, better snatch it up! If you want to buy a box, be sure to click on my link and use coupon code PO1LBZ to take off $5 off of your order! Place your order soon because this code expires on 10/31. Also, when you sign up, you will get $3 in store credit, which you can use immediately; that's a total of $8 off. :o)
So, what's in this box? Let's open it together. :-)

This MeMeBox review is for the Special #31 box -- Earth & Sea Cosmetics.  The products featured in this box all contain "nature's clean-up crew" -- which consists of charcoal, volcanic ash, and mud. These ingredients work together to draw out dirt and excess oil, along with extracting stubborn impurities from deep within pores!

1) Shara Shara Black Charcoal Mask Purifying: Full-sized product. $2.

This is a single-use sheet mask that is very effective at pulling out impurities from your pores! The mask is a black sheet that fits your face, with holes cut out for your eyes, nostrils, and mouth. When you first take it out, the mask is soaking wet with the good-for-you skincare ingredients. Just put it on your face and relax! The excess serum that may run can easily be rubbed into your neck.

The instruction says to place the mask over your face and rest for 15-30 minutes, but I left it on mine for 45. All I did was put it on, and watched an episode of Supernatural. Haha. When the episode was over, the mask was much drier than when I put it on, since most of the serum had been absorbed. I rubbed what was left of the mask all over my neck, chest, arms, back of hands, and feet.

So, what was the result? My skin was definitely clearer and brighter. I had a few whiteheads (pores clogged with sebum), and when I took the mask off, they were completely gone!

2) Elizavecca Elastic Pore Mask Cleansing Foam: Full-sized product. $29.

Isn't the packaging so cute? It features Wilbur the pig, and Charlotte the spider, from Charlotte's Web. The thing is, I'm not sure why. Lol. Anyhow, on to the review!

This cleansing foam is made from 6,000 mg of charcoal, 3,000 mg of collagen from pig skin, and spider extracts (okay, now I understand the illustration!). The Elastic Pore Mask Cleansing Foam is a mask and a facial cleanser in one.

As stated by MeMeBox: "As weird as the combination of charcoal, collagen, and spider extracts sounds, this black mask will penetrate deep into your pores, clearing away all dead skin cells and blackheads with bubbles as fine as a spider web. A quick 5 minutes every day is all you ever need to treat enlarged pores and excess skin impurities!"

I tried this cleanser this morning, and it left my skin feeling so refreshed! If you are concerned about scent, I did not smell anything.

3) Tosowoong Super Aqua Cooling Gel: Full-sized product. $34.

This is a hydrating, yet non-greasy, moisturizing gel that feels very cool to the touch. It is full of minerals and nutrients from glacier waters, so this gel is ideal for cooling overheated and irritated skin. Additionally, the moisturizer also contains minerals from the Dead Sea, which strengthen and moisturize your skin, so that it is firm and supple all day long.

My experience: wow, this cooling gel is serious business! I rubbed some onto the back of my hand and went to sleep. Even ten hours later, my skin is still so soft and smooth!

4) Dewytree Mineral Healthy Sun Cut Loose Powder SPF 36: Full-sized item. $34.

In addition to containing UV protection of SPF 36, Dewytree's loose powder is enriched with natural minerals and essential oil for maintaining the moisture level of your skin, leaving a long-lasting silky finish to your makeup. The powder comes with a special puff that provides an airbrushed effect, and will not cause clogged pores.

Usually, I do not like loose powder because it's not very portable. However, this one comes with an easy-to-use puff, and there's a mirror on top of the lid, so it really is just as portable as a compact. Also the container is not in a large or bulky, awkward shape, which makes it less likely for me to drop it.

The powder is also very finely milled and applied smoothly. Overall, an excellent, high-quality product!

5) Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack: Full-sized product. $36.

This volcanic ash pore mask is enriched with organic Jeju complex and mineral-rich volcanic ash, charcoal, green tea, and pine needle extracts. It promises to work wonders for controlling excess sebum and tightening enlarged pores.

Plus, it does not have paraben, artificial fragrance, and artificial coloring. The mask is suitable for all skin types!

My experience: After one use, my pores did look smaller, and my skin did feel more taut. However, like all other products that promise to minimize pores, the effect is not permanent (nothing from a topical product is!). As long as you use this 2-3 times a week, though, your pores will stay small. This mask is such a high-quality product with many good-for-your-skin ingredients. Definitely worth a try. :o)

6) Ariul Spa Water 24 Hours Moisturizing Refreshing Mist: Full-sized product. $18.

Did you know that Ariul Spa Water is made from pure spa water extracted straight from Belgium? It is rich in minerals and various amino acids. This spa water replenishes your skin, and provides a moisturizing barrier that protects your skin against dryness and keeps it soft all day. It can also be used as a boosting serum for enhancing absorbency of other skincare products.

How I use this: I keep this spa water in my refrigerator for that refreshed feeling when I mist it on. Afterwards, I'd massage it into my skin.

Total value of the box: $153
Cost of this MeMeBox: $29

The box is sold out, but there are so many boxes available still! MeMeBox is very popular, and everything sells out very quickly. Thus, when you see something that you like, be sure to snatch it up!
