Our Halloween Fair!

Don't forget that I have a giveaway going on right now. Click HERE to enter!

Hi, everybody!
I'm afraid that the update on my weight loss journey won't be posted until tomorrow, because I cut my left hand pretty badly last night. I was preparing food, without wearing my glasses or contact lenses, and before I knew it -- I had cut myself! :-( So, right now part of my hand is wrapped up in thick bandage, and I'm typing with just one finger. Typing a real post right now would take forever!

So, I'll just share with you pictures of my family and me having fun last night instead.

Our community set up their annual Halloween Fair in Old Poway Park, and Sean and I wanted to take our boys to their first Halloween event. Granted, Halloween doesn't actually happen until October 31st, but this year it will fall on a weeknight, so the town threw us a party early; this allowed us time to celebrate the holiday our own ways on the correct date. :o)

There were arts and crafts, foods being sold, candies given out to children, etc. A lot of people showed up in constumes!

Here are my three favorite men, posing with the Ecto Mobile from Ghostbusters! It's one of Sean's favorite movies. :o)

There was also an over 100 years old train that you could take a ride on, throughout the entire park! It was actually a very long, full-length train with wagons attached. You may ride either inside of the actual train, or in one of the wagons shown below.

A lot of people in town dressed up and danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and, of course, the "Ghostbusters" theme song!

Oh, look, a wishing fountain! Make a wish and throw in a coin. ;-)

It was a very festive night, and the entire town turned out, it seemed!

How are you celebrating Halloween this year (if you do celebrate)? If you have a blog, feel free to leave the link to it with your comment; I'd love to visit! :o)

    1. Aw, that's cute. Yeah, I'm not sure if Halloween is big anywhere else, outside of the US and Canada.

  2. Hi!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I am really loving yours.

This Halloween fair looked so cool! You must have had a blast. This Halloween I'm going to sit with a few neighbors and hand out candy. I usually just play it low key like that every year. One of our neighbors has a grave yard on their lawn and I might venture off for some pics. :-)

  4. This looks great and the twins are so cute! I'm probably not going to celebrate Halloween this year. I like Halloween and it becomes more and more popular here in Germany but it's not as big of a deal as over there.

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try a warmer blue shade for nail polish.

I don't think Halloween is very popular anywhere else outside of the US and Canada.
