US-UK Fall 2014 Treats and Beauty Swap!

Here's my review of the Fall 2014 swap with UK blogger Kerry over at Blogger in Wonderland! This is our third swap, and I'm super happy with what I got! I ate a couple things before I took the pictures because I was too impatient to wait. Haha.

Me: Why does England seem so magical?
Sean: Because it has Hogwarts.

1) Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea: this is my most favorite tea in the entire world, and I can't get enough of it! I'm usually very generous when it comes to sharing my food, but this is something that I would be very unwilling to share with anybody. Lol.

2) New Look lemon wedge coin purse: sooo adorable and well made! I was very happy to receive this because I didn't have a coin purse. Kerry also included a few coins because, apparently, it's bad luck to give someone an empty coin purse! I didn't know about that, lol. I guess the next time I send her a coin purse, I'll put some coins in, too.

3) Butterkist Strawberries & Cream Popcorn: this is sooo delicious and decadent tasting! Here in the States, popcorn usually come in only five mainstream flavors: plain; butter; cheddar; caramel; kettle (sweet and salty). This bag of popcorn that Kerry sent me is enough for six people, so Sean and I have to pace ourselves, which is very hard to do since it is so very delicious.

4) Hubba  Bubba strawberry gum: Wow, the last time I had this was back in the early '90s, lol. I just don't see these being sold around here anymore, except in stores that specialize in "retro treats."

5) Sherbet Fountain: I haven't tried this yet, mostly because I don't know how I'm supposed to eat it! The instruction just says "twist to open." I guess there is only one way to find out, but I don't want to do it wrong! (Although I'm not sure of how one can eat candy the wrong way, lol).

Sean: Whoa, these treats look like something from Willy Wonka!

6) Cadbury Milk Bubbly: I love these because they have air pockets in them, and you can feel the candy "pop" inside of your mouth! Sean thinks that it's a "rip off" because instead of getting a solid bar of chocolate, you're getting a bar of chocolate that also has hollow air pockets in it. Hahaha. As always, chocolate from Cadbury tastes amazing! We get Cadbury here, too, but the ones for the American market don't taste as delicious.

7) Cadbury Dairy Milk Ritz: So delicious! I love how the sweet chocolate is balanced out by the salty flavor of the Ritz crackers. I ate one of these as soon as I opened the box.

8) Dairy Milk Creations -- Banana Caramel Crisp: banana and caramel sound like such an interesting combination. I haven't tried this treat yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it!

Me: You know, since I'm flying to Miami to see a British band, I should pack some British treats with me.
Sean: What British band?
Me: ONE DIRECTION!!!
Sean: Oh, they're British?
Me: Yes.
Sean: Are they popular in England?
Me: No idea.

Yeah, have I told you that I'm flying to Miami to see One Direction? No big deal. :-P

9) Rowntrees Pick & Mix: Oooh, this is fascinating! There are three different types of candy in one bag. I plan to take this with me on the plane, so I haven't opened it yet!

10) Aero Bubbles in chocolate-mint: I love Aero candies! I told Kerry once that I had Aero years ago when a Canadian girl sent me a few (we don't have Aero in the States, except in specialized candy stores, and they're hard to find!), and she remembered. Awww.

11) Giant Parma Violets: Oooh, I loved the smaller Parma Violets candy that I got last time, so I'm really excited about these huge ones! They taste amazing and make your breath smell so pleasant. This candy always makes me feel like I'm a Victorian lady. Hahaha. :-P :-P :-P

12) Cadbury Fudge: Since I'm hoarding so many treats, I'm going to Sean have this one because I feel sorry for him. Well, I don't feel that bad, so I'll give him only half. What? I'm sharing almost everything else!

13) Flower Pharm Wild Rose Body Wash: the body wash smells sooo good, like fresh blooming roses, that I can't bring myself to use it! Lol. I just open it and sniff it every day. :-P But really, I'll use it when I'm finished using what's in my shower right now; I don't like to have too many opened containers in there because of limited space.

14) Nivea Creme Care Shower Cream: this is an in-shower lotion, I believe. Anyhow, it is really moisturizing! I like the Nivea smell, too, even though the scent of European Nivea is slightly different than the American one. Both scents are the same, but the European one smells cleaner, while the American one smells "thicker" and a bit more cloying.

15) Bourjois Healthy Balance: I really like this powder! It doesn't come with a puff, but that's okay because I apply powder products with a brush anyway. I like how soft the powder is, and it's good for both dry and oily skin. Also, the compact is so sleek and shiny, which I really like!

16) Makeup Revolution Pure Pigments in "Rivalry": Oooh, I love neutral eyeshadows, and this is a neutral sage-green shade that I love. It is so sparkly and pigmented that no picture can do it justice. Am I taking it to Miami? Hell yeah!

17) Makeup Revolution Pure Pigments in "Allure": I wish the camera could capture the beautiful mauve shade in this pigment. In person, it's a purplish-mauve shade that is really beautiful. Such a nice shade to wear from morning to night.

  1. So glad you liked everything :) The sherbet fountain is a very old british sweet, it used to be in a sort of cardboard style packaging. All you need to do it twist it open, take the liquorice stick out and dip it into the sherbert :)

I think I went wayyyy overboard on the sweets, but wanted you to have lots of treats in this box :)

Bring on the Winter swap I say! :) xx

    1. Awww, thanks! Lol. Sherbet Fountain reminds me of Fun Dip, except that the "dipper" isn't licorice. I can't wait for the Winter swap! I think the Winter box will make you faint. Lol.
