Fall and Winter Beauty Haul, Part 1!

Don't forget that I have a giveaway going on right now. Click HERE to enter!

I've been hauling a lot lately! It must be the season, or something in the air. :-P Below are very brief reviews; full reviews with detailed pictures, swatches, etc., will follow soon!

1) Lancome "Berry Noir" lipstick: this vampy (but not too vampy!) berry-red shade is just so perfect for the cooler temperature. It's creamy, pigmented, and so long-lasting. A beautiful lipstick shade to brighten up your face on cold and dreary days!

2) Lancome "Vintage Rose" lipstick: love, love, love! This lipstick is mostly nude with a hint of pink to soften up the look. It is actually very similar to Chanel's "Mademoiselle" lipstick, but with subtle shimmer to give your lips some dimension, and not make them look so flat.

3) Revlon HD lipstick in "Petunia": a deep berry shade from Revlon's newest collection, this lipstick has a smooth and soft finish; it feels like a lip balm but packs as much pigment as a lipstick does! I've mentioned numerous times before that many of my favorite lipsticks from the drugstore are by Revlon. I can honestly say that the formulations for Revlon's new HD lipsticks are right on par with lipsticks from big French cosmetic houses such as Chanel, Dior, etc., etc.

4) Guerlain Shine Automatique in "Mi-Mai": oh! Oh! Oh! This is such an easy, fresh, and nonchalant shade of the sheerest nude pink with a hint of shimmer. The finish is smooth, even, and is just so effortless. "Mi-Mai" is the shade of nude-pink that you see worn by fashion models in ads; you know, the ones with casual-chic tousled hair, healthy sheer-pink lips, and a smudge of sheer matte black eyeshadow. I love it!

5) YSL "Pure Chromatics 6" eyeshadow palette: see how gorgeous this is? These buttery-soft, silky eyeshadows can be worn wet or dry! You may wear them wet as the most dramatic eyeliners ever, or dry as intensely pigmented eyeshadows. Sadly, this particular palette is recently discontinued, but many counters still have it, and you can buy it for a song online.

6) Wet n Wild Color Icon "Reserve Your Cabana" Bronzer: okay, this isn't actually a bronzer, but it is the only highlighter in WnW's collection of "Color Icon" bronzers. This thing is huge, and costs only $4 at the drugstore! Part of me wants to buy another one as a back up because it is that amazing.

This highlighter is 100 times better than Hourglass' Ambient Lighting powders, which cost $45. WnW's "Reserve Your Cabana" gives your skin a nice, natural glow without the heavy sparkles and shimmers that make your pores look enlarged. I just love it!

In fact, the next time I go to the drugstore, I'm going to buy another compact of this to save it because I don't know when it'll get discontinued, and I don't want to be without it. Mind you, each compact is the size of an outstretched palm, and will last me a good five years. :-P

7) Burberry "Body" eau de parfum: ladies, this is the scent for Fall! It is more intense than what I would wear in the Spring and Summer, but not intense enough for Winter. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Burberry "Body" is a gorgeous blend of the prettiest rose petals, the most precious white woods, and the sexiest musk. I love this perfume so much, and splurged on a 2.5 oz bottle of the eau de parfum!

Be on the lookout for my more detailed review in the coming days!

What's new with you? Any hauls to share? :o)

  4. Those Lancome lipsticks look gorgeous, particularly the Berry Noir. I'm not sure I can carry off such a bright lippie any more - in my 20s I wore a red shade every day! That Burberry parfum sounds exquisite too. Tx www.faceupbeauty.com

    1. The Revlon HD lipsticks are definitely worth a try; the formula is amazingly soft, yet the lipstick stays put and doesn't budge!
