Lancome Color Design Vintage Rose Lipstick Review

Don't forget that I'm hosting an international beauty giveaway! Click HERE to enter.

There's nothing that I want more than to be able to blog daily, but I suppose getting to do so three to four times a week isn't so bad! Hopefully as my life slows down a bit more, I can relax and blog more regularly.

I've been wearing Lancome's "Vintage Rose" lipstick a lot lately, just because it is such a demure yet so romantic shade. This is a perfectly neutral nude-pink with subtle micro-shimmers once on, which you can see in the swatch. It is not frosty, sparkly, nor is it glittery; the micro-shimmers are here just to prevent the lipstick from looking so flat.

As you can see, the lipstick is very sheer, as it is in the Sheen formula. However, Lancome's "Vintage Rose" still feels very much like a lipstick, and you will still need to wear a lip balm underneath; this is definitely not a tinted balm.

Despite its sheerness, the lipstick is very long-lasting. I like that it adds a sheer, romantic shade of dusty pink to the lips. Also, the name "Vintage Rose" is so appropriate. The lipstick is unscented and unflavored.

I find this to be comparable to Chanel's "Mademoiselle" in shade, but sheerer and has micro-shimmers, whereas "Mademoiselle" is more pigmented and matte.

Cost: $22.50
Where to buy: Lancome.com and wherever Lancome cosmetics are sold.

What lipstick have you been wearing lately?

  3. Gosh, that shade is so lovely! I have been a fan of rich, bright lipstick that sometimes I forget how gorgeous the sheerer lipsticks are. Brilliant post!

    1. Thank you! I know what you mean. I've been wearing a lot of deeper, more intense shades, too, because of the season, so this one is a nice change.

  4. I wear lip balms only, since I have no time for applying makeup because I always sleep in in the mornings. Maybe I should try out that Lancome one. :-)

    1. Yeah, I totally understand your feeling on the microshimmer. I don't mind it, but it tends to stick around long after the lipstick has faded, lol.
