I've been wearing Lancome's "Vintage Rose" lipstick a lot lately, just because it is such a demure yet so romantic shade. This is a perfectly neutral nude-pink with subtle micro-shimmers once on, which you can see in the swatch. It is not frosty, sparkly, nor is it glittery; the micro-shimmers are here just to prevent the lipstick from looking so flat.
As you can see, the lipstick is very sheer, as it is in the Sheen formula. However, Lancome's "Vintage Rose" still feels very much like a lipstick, and you will still need to wear a lip balm underneath; this is definitely not a tinted balm.
Despite its sheerness, the lipstick is very long-lasting. I like that it adds a sheer, romantic shade of dusty pink to the lips. Also, the name "Vintage Rose" is so appropriate. The lipstick is unscented and unflavored.
I find this to be comparable to Chanel's "Mademoiselle" in shade, but sheerer and has micro-shimmers, whereas "Mademoiselle" is more pigmented and matte.
