Target Beauty Box Review

Don't forget that I'm hosting an international beauty giveaway! Click HERE to enter.

I have another beauty box to review for you today! This one is from my favorite store to buy everything from, Target. :o)

Unlike the Wal-Mart beauty box, which is sent out on a schedule, the availability of the Target beauty box is in a very random, inconsistent manner (in my opinion); you never know when it's going to be available for purchase, and will usually learn about its availability through words of mouth. Also, while the Walmart beauty box is a subscription service, the Target one is not (you purchase the box each time it's available).

For this installation, the Target beauty box has more products than the Walmart one. However, the Walmart box is also $2 less, and I think that the boxes vary anyway, in that sometimes one box will have more products than the other.

So, what did I get in this box? Let's open it together!

  • L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray: 2.2 oz. Wow, now I understand what all of the hype has been about! This hairspray gives extraordinary hold, yet your hair still moves so naturally. As far as drugstore hairsprays go, this is the most expensive one there, but it is also the best that I've ever tried.
  • Fekkai Blowout Hair Refresher Dry Shampoo: 1.7 oz. So far, I've really enjoyed using this dry shampoo. It soaks up the oil from my roots and gives my hair that just-washed feeling. Of course, only a real shampoo can actually clean your hair and scalp, but a dry shampoo is still helpful when you are too busy to wash your hair that day.
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk": the least exciting item from the box (in my opinion), just because I don't use anything in jumbo pencil form, and definitely nothing opaque white. Thus, I didn't bother to test it out (what was I going to use it for anyway?), so I'll give this away to somebody.
  • Laneige BB Cushion foundation (not pictured): Deluxe sample. You may find my in-depth review for this product, with swatches, HERE.
  • $3-off coupon on any beauty purchase. I believe I used this to purchase a jar of Pond's Cold Cream. Lol.
  • L'Oreal Color Riche Extraordinaire in "Ruby Opera": oh, this is such a beautiful neutral red! A semi-opaque red with microglitters (you can't feel them) to give your lips the plump appearance. The texture is pleasant, creamy and non-sticky. This is one of my favorites from this box!

Which beauty boxes are your favorites?
Feel free to leave a link to your blog if you have one; I'd love to visit! :o)

    1. Neither did I! My problem with them (and this seems to be the case for many customers, too) is that nobody really knows when a new Target box gets released. :-P

  5. First of all, I have no idea Target has a beauty box so thank you for this review. I seriously love the lipstick shade, might pick it up for myself to try soon.

    1. Yeah, I like Target better, too; the atmosphere just feels so warm and welcoming. Like, "Buyyyy...buyyy more stuff."
I unsubscribed from Ipsy a few months back because I kept getting the same stuff, and when they started sending me things in shades that were obviously better for cool-toned, fair skinned girls, I was like, "Aye, do you even take my quiz answers into consideration anymore?"
      :-P
