Kate Spade Live Colorfully Perfume Review

Quick note: I am currently traveling and blogging from the road, and all of my makeup were shipped to my new home ahead of time, except for a few very basic items. Thus, I do not have them on hand to photograph or review. However, I have a box of over 100 perfume samples, so most of my blog posts will be perfume reviews until I am finished with my travel. As perfume samples are very boring to photograph and view, all of the pictures featured are official photos from the manufacturers, unless otherwise noted.
.....................................................................................................

If you pour some of Bobbi Brown's Beach perfume into a cocktail shaker, add in some fresh squeezed mandarin juice, and then shake it all up, you'd get Kate Spade's Live Colorfully.

It sounds bizarre, but it works.

Live Colorfully is another fruity-floral blend, but I do commend Kate Spade for at least trying to blend the more unexpected fruits and florals together. Despite its extensive list of perfume notes, the perfume is predominantly a mandarin-Tahitian gardenia scent, nothing more.

Top Notes: pink water lily; sparkling mandarin; star anise.
Middle Notes: tiare flower (Tahitian gardenia); golden gardenia; coconut water.
Base Notes: sheer amber; radiant musk; Tahitian vanilla.

There really isn't much else to say about this pretty, yet forgettable perfume. The mandarin note is fleeting, and after thirty minutes or so, Live Colorfully is a light gardenia scent and not much more. Pleasant, inoffensive, and personality-less, the perfume is perfect for those looking for a "safe" scent to wear at the office.

Have you tried Kate Spade's Live Colorfully perfume?
If you have a blog, feel free to leave a link with your comment; I'd love to visit! :o)

  2. Mmm... I guess this is not a perfume for me. I am eager to try the Cartier Panther that you reviewed, but this one is not the scent for me :) Fruity-floral no... woody yes :)

  5. The bottle is pretty but I love how honest you were in this review. The "personality-less" actually made me laugh. I for one don't want to be forgettable so don't think I'll be buying this..! x

    1. Lol, yeah, it smells so mediocre. Pleasant but nothing to write home about. Still, I think people should test it anyway; it might smell good to them! :o)

  6. I haven't actually tried this but I will have a little smell when I next pop into Debenhams, although I do prefer unforgettable perfumes so probably won't get it

  9. I love your description of this at the start! I can really picture the aroma! I love the smell of Mandarin in perfume. One of my all-time favourite scents is Jo Malone's Lime, Basil and Mandarin. Such a shame there's only a fleeting whiff of it with this one though. Tx

    1. Yes, the mandarin scent is gorgeous, but it doesn't last very long! I'm going to have to check out "Lime, Basil and Madarin," it sounds heavenly!
